pumpkin patch

we woke up this morning to the kids running around the house like kids on crack...yelling, screaming, meltdowns. And then every 5 mins asking us to dress a different barbie doll for them....I laid in bed, one eye open - one eye closed, cursing in my head how hard barbies are to dress especially at 7:30 in the morning. We NEEDED to get out of the house...so we decided to go to the pumpkin patch and get some fresh air. Ruben made french toast and eggs, and we quickly got dressed to go out. I remember last year we went to Oldfield Orchard on a field trip for preschool, so we decided to go there. I was surprised to find out it was more than a pumpkin patch and more like a fall fair. They had mazes for the kids, a barn band playing, clowns, train rides, haunted house, pumpkin toss, ring toss. It was so much fun! It was the PERFECT place for us to go today to run out the kids. The girls did the ring toss and both won a pumpkin. There was a fun tractor ride to get to all the activities and back. I highly recommend going. Our only regret was that we didn't have enough time to stay longer, but we might go again next week-end if it's nice out.
