This past weekend we went up to fairburn farm. Originally I was planning on going on my own to take some photos for a client, but I'm too chicken to drive the Malahat on my own so we went up as a family.
Wow - What a beautiful farm! The girls had a great time up there. The farm is full of history and sits on over 100 acres in the cowichan valley. Fairburn is family owned and was one of Canada's first water buffalo dairy farms which supplies to Natural Pastures Cheese company to make mozzarella. yummmm....
The girls played while we were up there, Olivia 'petted' a 2200 lb buffalo, and ran around looking at the chickens and played with the family dogs. The farm also has a bed and breakfast there where you can go with your kids, and they can collect eggs in the morning, feed the baby buffalo and run around the property.
We will definitely be going back as a family to stay one day.
